Igbos are not marginalized - Governor Okorocha

- Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha has denied claims that Igbos in Nigeria are being marginalized

- Okorocha said he will continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari despite his ill-health

- He also said that President Muhammadu Buhari despite ill-health is doing very well

The Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha has denied claims that Igbos in Nigeria are being marginalized.

Speaking to BBC in an interview on Monday, July 24, Okorocha said he will continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari despite his ill-health.

The governor further added that the president is doing well and will return to Nigeria in two weeks.

Okorocha said: "He's very very ok, believe me he's very ok. The Buhari I met yesterday is very sound and in high spirit."

But you know, whatever it takes, he might be coming back again (to London) from time to time for his medical checks and all that. But I think he's in high spirits.

He will perform his duty as a president definitely." Okorocha stated firmly.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Imo Governor said President Buhari will return to Nigeria within the next two weeks.

Okorocha also said the president was keeping tabs with all the happenings in the country despite the fact the Yemi Osinbajo functions as the Acting President.

Okorocha who visited President Buhari in London alongside other All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and leaders said the president is totally engaged in discussions concerning Nigeria's politics.

He also said the president inquired from all the governors present how their states were faring.
