You won't get beyond primaries - APGA threatens other guber aspirants over Governor Obiano

- The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is no doubt proud of its sole governor, Willie Obiano of Anambra state

- The party apparently has no qualms defending Obiano in public

- They say his achievements are unrivaled

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has tacitly declared its support for Governor Willie Obiano ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra state scheduled for November.

The party took to its Twitter page today, Friday, July 14, to chide other aspirants in the party for attacking the governor and playing down on his achievements.

The party urged other aspirants to observe restraint and criticize with all civility, decency and proof.

“We have observed the desperation of some guber aspirants to make wild claims and cast aspersion on the enviable record of Governor Willie Obiano.

“As a party, we wish every aspirant good luck as they carry out their constitutionally guaranteed right to seek election into office.

“However, we urge all aspirants to observe restraint and criticize with all civility, decency and proof.

“The wild claims a number of aspirants have made against Governor Obiano's clear achievements will unnecessarily heat up the polity,” the party tweeted.

The party warned that such wide claims against Governor Obiano will hamper such aspirants the chances of advancing beyond the party's primary election, stressing that people won't take them seriously.

The party further warned that any attempt to disparage Governor Obiano's achievements will portray the accuser as a desperate politician eager to deceive voters.

The party went on to list the achievements of the governor so far in office.
