Following the death of the wife of the of the All Progressives Congress (APC) founding national chairman, Bisi Akande, key members of the party have convened in Osun state to pay a condolence visit to the party chieftain, the Cable reports.
Among those who visited were Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; national chairman of the party, John Odigie-Oyegun; governor of Osun state Rauf Aregbesola, and his Oyo state counterpart, Abiola Ajimobi.
The APC chieftains also attended the final burial ceremony held for Akande's wife.
Chief Akande, who is also a former governor of Osun state, lost his wife Omowunmi on Monday July 10.
She passed away at the University College Hospital,Ibadan.
She was aged 73.
