Lives, properties lost as heavy flood takes over Suleja near Abuja

- Suleja, a town near Abuja experienced massive flooding on Sunday

- The flood was as a result of a heavy rain that reportedly fell for hours

- No less than 20 people have reportedly lost their lives in the rain

A heavy rain that lasted more than 12 hours, has reportedly led to the death of no less than 20 people in Suleja, a town near Abuja, on Sunday, July 9.

NAIJ.com gathered that the rain, which reportedly started around the evening of Saturday, July 8 fell without stop till the afternoon of Sunday.

In a video shared by Sahara Reporters, residents of the area could be seen helping each other across the streets with homes submerged in flood.
