Keep up the good work - Chibok girls tell Donald Trump

- The former Chibok schoolgirls noted that in times of danger, America is a place of refuge for so many like themselves

- The 2 schoolgirls who escaped from Boko Haram captivity were at the White House as visitors of Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka

During a recent visit to the White House, two Chibok schoolgirls who escaped from Boko Haram captivity in 2014- Joy Bishara and Lydia Pogu- read a letter applauding the U.S. President Donald Trump, Vanguard reports.

More photos of the visit were released by the White House on Saturday, July 8.

During the visit, the girls read out a letter to the US president.

It read in part: “Mr. President, we urge you to keep America safe and strong.

“We know that some people are trying to discourage you. Do not be discouraged. You are right to keep American safe and strong.

“Not only for America. But for the world.

“If America is not safe and strong, where can people like us look for hope, when there is danger?

“Finally, we urge you to keep making America prosperous.”

The Chibok schoolgirls were hosted by Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka, during the publicized visit.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that president Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump wrote about her encounter with two high school graduate Chibok girls who recently visited the White House.

The girls, Joy Bishara and Lydi Pogu were among the schoolgirls who escaped from the capture of Boko Haram and were offered scholarship to complete their education in the United States by a Christian non-governmental organisation.
