The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has commended a beneficiary of the N-Power Programme in Taraba state Daniel Joshua for refunding payments mistakenly made to him by the federal government.
Osinbajo said Joshua has exhibited some integrity in his action.
In a tweet on Monday, July 3, the Acting President said: "A story of integrity. Daniel refunded payments of N-Power stipends credited to him for the period he had already disengaged from #NPowerNG."
NAIJ.com gathered that Joshua, a beneficiary of the N-Power programme in Taraba state got a new job in April but was still paid for May and June when payment for his monthly stipend should have been stopped.
Daniel was said to have gotten back to the N-Power and paid back N60,000 to the programme's account - a refund of the many mistakenly paid to him.
To Joshua's action., the acting president said the presidency is very proud of him.
NAIJ.com had earlier reported that applicants for the 2017 N-Power programme was released on Friday, June 30.
The successful applicants are required to go through a list processes which include application, pre-selection, physical verification among others.
These applicants, NAIJ.com gathered need to go through the process to avoid some of the glitches that occurred during the application and recruitment process for the 2016 N-Power Programme.
