The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Andy Uba has raised an alarm over the pitiable state of infrastructures in educational facilities in Anambra state.
The lawmaker made the disclosure while paying a routine visit to Girls High School Uga in Aguata local government area, one of the numerous schools he renovated not so long ago.
The APC gubernatorial aspirant, expressed disappointment at the rate of infrastructural decay that has almost grounded academic activities at the school, were it not for his timely intervention.
Senator Uba had earlier renovated a one storey-building class room block for the school to enhance academic activities.

Expressing their gratitude to the senator, the senior and deputy Senior prefects who spoke on behalf of the students thanked the APC aspirant for giving them an improved and conducive learning environment by renovating their class rooms.
While thanking the the senator for always coming to their rescue, the school authority drew his attention to the uninhabitable state of the school's hostel block that has hitherto caused the boarding students nightmares at noon especially whenever it rained.
Responding, Senator Uba promised them that their cries were over. He also promised to ensure that the hostel is duly renovated and the students gratified and encouraged to learn in a conducive environment.
Speaking further, he said education is the bedrock of any nation desirous of developing its youth population, even as he expressed optimism that his gesture will uplift the students bring out the best in them in their academic endeavours.
Senator Uba has since kick-started his sensitization tour to various local government areas in Anambra state.
The APC gubernatorial candidate is one of the leading aspirants aspiring to unseat incumbent, Chief Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
