“It only confirms what we have been saying that people should learn how to win elections and not to use crude means.

“The cookies have started crumbling; Rivers people know how Sen. Sekibo was declared winner,” he said.

Lloyd alleged that INEC’s returning officer for the River-East Senatorial election was forced at gunpoint, and after being beaten, to declare the sacked Senator the winner.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Senator George Sekibo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representing Rivers East senatorial district, had been sacked by the Rivers state national and state assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja.

George, the candidate of the PDP candidate was declared winner of the legislative election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which held on Saturday, December 10, 2016, to elect lawmakers for the vacant National Assembly seats.
