Alleged member of the notorious Badoo cult terrorising Ikorodu area of Lagos state was reportedly caught by residents of Escobar, Ogijo on Wednesday.

NAIJ.com gathered that he was reportedly caught by vigilant residents while he was inspecting a house the group intends to attack next.

Angry residents threatened to burn the alleged culprit after he was caught.

According to some of the residents, the police in the area would release members of the cult caught by residents within 24 hours.

The resident alleged that the group is being sponsored by influential people who often post the bails of the culprits suspected to be members of the notorious group.

Badoo is a group of cultists who are known to wipe out every member of any family they attack.

In the last two weeks, the Badoo cultists have attacked three families in Ikorodu.

On Tuesday, they attacked a family of five, killing husband, wife and two kids aged 5 and 2, while leaving the third child, a boy of 4 years in coma.

Meanwhile, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, native doctors and other traditional rulers have declared war on the Badoo cultists terrorising the area.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that a young man suspected to be a member of the dreaded Badoo cult group was arrested in Ikorodu in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21.

The suspect was said to have been trying to gain entrance into a home when a resident of the area saw him and raised alarm.

The young man who was with a big stone was said to have been scantily dressed. He was trying to gain access into a home at Felafon street in Ayegbami Community in Igbogbo area of Ikorodu.
