Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has signed an executive order backing the voluntary asset and income declaration scheme.
NAIJ.com gathered that voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) is a scheme which encourages voluntary disclosure of previously undisclosed assets and income for the purpose of payment of all outstanding tax liabilities. The Scheme will offer a limited waiver for declaration within the specified period of time.

Meanwhile NAIJ.com had reported that based on the proposed law currently awaiting second reading in the House of Representatives, looters of Nigerian treasury may get “full and complete amnesty”.
The features of the proposed law will grant looters the opportunity to escape any form of probe, inquiry or prosecution after fulfilling certain conditions.
