Why we have not charged Evans to court – Police

- The police said they are doing everything humanly possible to arrest more members of Evans’ gang

- They also said that Evans and all his arrested gang members are to remain in Police custody for three months

- A police source claimed that Evans' gang members at large are trying to shut him up by suing the Lagos state commissioner of police

The police has given reasons why the billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans has not been charged to court as expected by Nigerians.

According to the source, this was due to the fact that the investigation is till going on.

Guardian reports that there was an order by the federal high court to detain Evans and all his gang members for at least three months.

A police source said: “Unfortunately for them, we can also renew the order after three months, which is what they failed to take into cognizance,” the police said. “But I am sure we will not even need up to that.
