Catholic priest abducted on his way to morning mass, kidnappers demand N80m ransom

NAIJ.com gathered that a Catholic priest serving at the Ijebu Ode diocese in Ogun state, has been abducted by some unknown gunmen who asked for N80m ransom.

Even as Nigerians are celebrating the arrest of notorious kidnapper Chidumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, some other kidnappers have struck.

According to reports, a reverend father identified as Matthew Oguleru, was kidnapped while on his way to morning mass at the Ijebu Ode diocese, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21.

His abductors who have made contact with his family members, are asking for a ransom of N80 million in order to secure his release.

Rev Father Matthew Oguleru, has been kidnapped and his abductors have asked for N80m ransom

Reverend Oguleru was reportedly abducted along Ilado, Ibefun-Ikorodu road.

His family members have since asked Nigerians to join them in praying for his safe release.

NAIJ.com hopes he is released unharmed soon.
