You could see that we are thinking, we have vast agricultural land where we can earn a living, fertile land," the man said.

Showing round his environment, the man said the lands are fertile and could serve as a means of livelihood for the Northerners.

Citing examples of some foreign countries, the man said: "You [forgot] what agriculture is all about, it is the bedrock of humanity, you can live a life without a car... but you cannot live a complete 24 hours a day without a meal."

He said: "Igbos, bye-bye. You can go!"

But please, if you are going, go peacefully, do not cause any trouble in this country. We don't want any fight, we don't want any war.

All I am saying, personally is, we the North, we must support the Igbos to get out of this marriage," he added.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that a Northern group had asked all Igbos living in the North to vacate the region within 3 months.

The group in a briefing tagged, "Kaduna declaration" said the Igbo have made a lot of trouble with their threat to leave Nigeria.

However, in a recent meeting with some Northern leaders, the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo cautioned Northerners over the ultimatum given to the Igbos.

Osinbajo also said the federal government will not take the threat issued to the Igbos living in the North by the Northern youth group lightly.
