Meet Colonel Kazir, Nigerian soldier who graduated with distinction at US war college

A Nigerian soldier identified as Colonel Kazir has joind the long list of Nigerians making the country proud abroad.

Colonel Kazir, an official of the Nigerian Army, has graduated as a Fellow with a distinction among 138 participants from the United States Army War College.

Kazir is not the first Nigerian to make record in the school, which has produced many great military men including President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported another USAWC graduate, Colonel Charles Nengite, who beat 380 other postgraduate students to the top position at the institution.

Nengite broke a 38-year record by any foreigner in the school when he topped his class and received 6 awards for outstanding performance in different courses in the class of 2015.

Nengite also earned the Distinguished Graduate award reserved for the top five fellows in his class of 381 and also the Commandant’s award for distinction in research.

The United States Army War College (USAWC) is a U.S. Army educational institution in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on the 500-acre (2 km²) campus of the historic Carlisle Barracks.

The school provides graduate-level instruction to senior military officers and civilians to prepare them for senior leadership assignments and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, seven of the newly elected members of the British Parliament are persons with Nigerian heritage.

This was revealed by United Kingdom-based Nigerian university lecturer, Dr Adebisi Adewole, who is also the managing editor of African Pulse Magazine.

According to him, Nigerians across the UK are excited over the development, adding that the elected MPs success appears justified as they have broken various forms of historical barriers.
