Former President Jonathan’s administration bought weapons APC is using to fight Boko Haram – PDP
- People Democratic Party (PDP) says it is the same weapons that the previous administration bought that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government is using to fight against insurgency war
- PDP has said that if the APC had maintained the success achieved during the 2015 elections in the North-east Region, the deadly group would not have regrouped
- The Party said that its efforts to make sure that the lives of people is secured can never be over emphasized
The People Democratic Party (PDP) has said the same weapons that the former President Jonathan’s administration bought is what the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is using to fight against Boko Haram.
The leadership of PDP under Senator Ahmed Makarfi, said that APC should not be praised for the victory that the President Buhari’s administration is claiming now.
This was made known in a statement signed and issued by the Publicity Secretary of the Party’s National Caretaker Committee (NCC), Dayo Adeyeye.

Reports have it that the party maintained that if the APC had maintained the success achieved during the 2015 Elections in the North-East Region, the deadly group would not have regrouped.
According to the PDP, the prolonged herdsmen attacks on innocent and harmless citizens across the country has worsened the security situation in the country within the past two years than in the 16 years it held sway at the centre.
The statement reads in part: “The Security Situation in the Country today has worsened with the rampaging herdsmen’s attacks killing innocent and harmless people unabated and sacking communities.
“The scourge of herdsmen attack across the Country under the APC is more than the activities of Boko Haram in the North East.

“The efforts of the PDP in fighting Boko Haram activities still speak volume of its sensitivity towards preservation of citizens’ lives and properties; and if the APC had maintained the success achieved during the 2015 Elections in the North-East Region, the deadly Group wouldn’t have regrouped.''
Legit.ng recalls that former ambassador to Canada and governorship aspirant in Ekiti state, Amb Dare Bejide, has said the Peoples Democratic Party would take over Nigeria once again.
Bejide says contrary to the position of those he described as ‘prophets of doom’, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) will not go into extinction if Senator Ali Modu Sheriff wins at the supreme court.
Bejide says the party will begin to wax stronger after the judgement,saying those predicting doom days will be put to shame in the end.
