3 Boko Haram bombers killed in Cameroon

- 2 Boko Haram bombers were killed in their own explosion in Double Cameroon

- Another bomber was shot dead by the Cameroonian army

- Fortunately, there were no other casualties

An attack on Double, Cameroon, by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group in the early hours of Tuesday, May 23 has been foiled by the Cameroonian army.

Two Boko Haram bombers who attacked the city ended up getting killed in their own explosion while another one was shot dead by the army.

Cameroon based investigative journalist, Bisong Etahoben, announced the attack in a tweet he made on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian army in its fight against terrorism killed 13 Boko Haram terrorists in an operation that also led to the arrest of 10 others engaged in smuggling of supplies to the terrorists.

This was contained deputy director, public relations, 8 Task Force Division, who revealed that the operation was carried out on Saturday, May 20 around the fringes of Lake Chad.

He said: “In the ongoing clearance operation around the fringes of Lake Chad, troops of 8 Task Force Division have continued to hit the few remaining Boko Haram hideouts and what is left of their logistics holding.”
