Governor Nyesom Wike has advised that the army desists from posting soldiers to politicians.
Wike's advise comes on the heels of recent warnings by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai.
Buratai in an earlier report by NAIJ.com, warned soldiers to stop holding meetings with politicians.
According to Buratai, some individuals have been approaching soldiers for undisclosed political reasons.
On the basis of that, the COAS warned such persons to desist from these acts.
In reaction to Buratai's warning, Wike says attaching officers to politicians is counter-productive.
Wike said the act poses a threat to national security.
The Rivers state governor urged the COAS to do more than just complaining.
