Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has embarked on a youth empowerment initiative. Yet, his good intentions seem to have caused more trouble for him than expected.
A Facebook user shared a picture of one of the ways Governor Ortom is empowering youths in the state, and it is a photo of wheelbarrows with the governor's name printed on them.
Apparently, because Benue is a state known for farming, the governor decided to provide youths with wheelbarrows to help in carrying their produce.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo met with Governor Samuel Ortom and the NSA, Major-General Babagana Monguno, over the menace of herdsmen attacks in Benue state.
The trio held a closed-door meeting which lasted for over an hour on the issue at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday, May 16.

Governor Ortom, who spoke to State House correspondents after the meeting, said he was at the Presidential Villa to brief the acting president on the prevailing security situation in Benue state.
