- The fact has emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari is not dead
- Buhari had been rumoured to have died on Sunday May 14 in London
- A picture which was claimed to have been taken when Buhari met with Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby in England on Saturday May 13 also emerged
- However, Sahara Reporters claims the picture is not true
Contrary to the news making the rounds that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead, the president is said to be alive in London.
The Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had earlier debunked the rumour, saying that the president is hale and hearty.
Sahara Reporters reports that although Buhari is alive, the picture being circulated that the president visited Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby in England on Saturday May 13, 2017, was not true.
NAIJ.com also confirmed that the picture was taken last year as the meeting between Buhari and Welby in England was on May 13, 2016.
In the report published last year, it was reported that President Buahri and Welby discussed how Nigeria would go about fighting corruption.
“Archbishop Welby defended the Nigerian president after British Prime Minister David Cameron defined Nigeria as “fantastically corrupt”.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Buhari received the iconic Archbishop of Canterbury Most Reverend Justin Welby at the Abuja House in London on Thursday, March 9 during his last medical trip to UK.
