Currently, there is pandemonium and confusion in Kaduna following the demolition and destruction of Green Apple.
NAIJ.com learnt that Green Apple, a structure belonging to former minister of Environment Laurentia Malam with properties worth hundreds of millions of naira, was demolished in Kaduna state.
According to reports Leadership, armed boys suspected to be thugs allegedly from Rigasa in Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna state were said to have stormed the property loaded in over 10 buses with dangerous weapons and perpetrated the mayhem which almost took religious colouration.
The situation, according to the reports has also created serious tension with several people giving it religious meaning.
The suspected armed thugs were said to have come from a Muslim dominated area of the state.
NAIJ.com however learnt that the incident was at post office Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
Eyewitness told NAIJ.com that "a lawyer came with some hausa youth and demolish a hotel, he claimed he had court order to do so, but some Sabo youth misunderstood it and said how could hausa boys come to our area and demolish a building?"
"That's how it started, they started burning tires on the road, and some motorist are afraid to follow Sabo road because of the incident", he said.
According to eye witnesses, some police men in uniform accompanied the thugs who perpetrated the attack on the building.
Leadership also reported that although angry youths stormed the scene of the demolition, police men from the metropolitan promptly stormed the scene to calm the situation.
