Acting President Yemi Osinbajo failed to swear in the two new ministers on Wednesday, May 10 at the FEC meeting.
The ministers are Stephen Ocheni (Kogi) and Suleiman Hassan (Gombe)
The Senate had last week screened and confirmed Ocheni and Hassan as ministers, but they were yet to be sworn in.
The council meeting yesterday, which lasted about three hours, was attended by majority of the ministers and other cabinet members.
NAIJ.com reported that Osinbajo kicked off yesterday’s FEC meeting at 10:00am, one hour earlier than the usual 11:00am.
Buhari had, after returning from his last medical vacation on March 10, changed the kick-off time of the weekly council meeting from 10:00am to 11:00am.
Meanwhile, after the FEC meeting, Osinbajo held a closed door meeting with Nigeria's former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
NAIJ.com gathered that the former vice president arrived the Villa at exactly 4pm, after which Osinbajo ushered him into his office where both men met behind closed doors.
