Faparusi says the release of the 82 Chibok girls confirmed that Buhari has not reneged on his promises to Nigerians

Faparusi maintained that the comment, which he described as caustic and inflammatory, lent credence to the widespread belief that the PDP was incorrigibly insensitive and callous to lead Nigeria.

Faparusi, a member of the seventh House of Representatives, said assurances of security for all, particularly the release of the 237 girls formed the APC’s cardinal electoral campaign during the 2015 poll, added that translating the promises into actions has indicated that the party has not failed the country.

President Buhari has been receiving accolades for the release of the 82 Chibok girls

Meanwhile, the federal government has described the statement credited to the PDP as regards the released 82 Chibok girls as indecent, inhuman and ill-timed.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, May 8, the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said it is patently insensitive for any individual or organization to seek to douse, on the altar of politics, the universal joy that has greeted the release of the 82 girls.
