Embattled US trained investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo is currently seeking for financial support publicly to cater for her increasing legal expenses.
NAIJ.com reported earlier that Olunloyo was arrested on March 5 from her Ibadan home by the police for a story she allegedly posted about Port Harcour-based Pastor David Ibiyeomie and NNollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
The former governor's daughter was initially granted bail by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt in the sum of N200, 000 on Thursday, March 30 only to be taken back to jail on the order of a Federal High Court.
It was alleged that she was sent back to prison based on a petition written by Iyabo Ojo.
She was however said to been granted another bail in the sum of one million naira by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, April 11.
No one knows if she has met the second bail requirements up until yesterday evening, May 9, when she shocked everyone with a post on her Instagram page, soliciting for funds.
According to the post, she needed funds to cater for her legal expenses incurred thus far. Rumours have it that she is also having difficulties in meeting her stringent bail conditions.
Read below as shared on her Instagram page:
"Please donate to Kemi Olunloyo's legal expenses fund. She is still in Port Harcourt Prison. We thank you. "
Details of accounts to pay into were also shared but a lot of Olunloyo's followers are in doubts as to why the woman who seemed to have it all together, will be asking the general public for money. See some reactions below:
