- Alhaji Sa’idu Gumburawa has applauded the anti-corruption fight of president Buhari
- He said he believed in the administration of Buhari
- He urged him to strengthen the whistle-blower policy
Alhaji Sa’idu Gumburawa who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed optimism that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will make the country better.
NAN reports that Gumburawa who is a former member of the House of Representatives in Sokoto state said the country would get better under this administration.
He said security challenges are already being well tackeld and hoped the same would be done to other sectors.
“I am truly confident that with the way and manner the president is governing the nation, Nigeria will soon get better.
“The Federal Government has been successful in surmounting the challenges posed by the Boko Haram insurgency, while other security challenges such as cattle rustling, militancy, kidnapping and armed robbery, are being tackled.”
He also spoke about the government’s plan to diversify the economy to other sectors such as agriculture and mineral resources.
“I am also hopeful that Nigeria will soon exit the current recession, although more efforts should be made in this direction.”
The former lawmaker applauded President Buhari for his commitment in the fight against corruption urging that all persons involved in the crime be prosecuted while all funds recovered.
He also called on the government to continue with and strengthen the whistle-blower policy.
He said: “Buhari is God-sent and there will be light at the end of the tunnel”
