- Amaechi says Buhari is fit enough to stand for re-election
Reno Omokri, a former special assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, has disclosed two of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers he would sacked if he was the president.
Omokri, in a series of tweets posted Tuesday night, May 2, said he would have sacked Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu for pressuring the president over 2019 re-election, at a time he should focus on his health.
According to him, pressuring the president, who has health issues, to work full time or contemplate the rigors of a re-election campaign, can lead to severe consequences.
Below is what Omokri wrote on his Twitter handle.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported that both Shittu and Amaechi said President Muhammadu Buhari would be urged to contest for second term in office in 2019 presidential election.
According to Shittu, Buhari's body language is enough to instill fear and uprightness in Nigerians and the president is a father figure that must not be overlooked.
While, Amaechi on the other hand, said Buhari is fit enough to stand for re-election.
