Meet 24 year-old Chidera Okolie, another Chimamanda Adichie in the making

Legit.ng came across a young female author who is currently making Nigeria and Nigerians proud.

Just like Nigeria's flag-flying writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the author identified as Chidera Okolie, has been bagging international awards.

24-year-old Chidera who is also a Barrister, wrote a book which was endorsed by former President Goodluck Jonathan, in 2015.

The beautiful author who recently released another book, has won several awards including the 'most outstanding fiction writer of the year' by Alpha Gamma Multimedia Limited.

"Chidera Nneoma Okolie is a 24 years old Barrister and Solicitor of The Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She is also the author of crime fiction piece, WHEN SILENCE BECOMES TOO LOUD.

In March, 2015, this piece was endorsed by the then President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

In June, 2015, she was nominated for the African Achievers Award held in South Africa and in September of the same year, she was awarded a Guinness Made of Black Heroine.

In 2016, she bagged three awards, The Fiction Writer of the Year by the Nigerian Writers Awards, The Fiction Writer of the year by the Xperience Womanity Awards and The Most Outstanding Fiction Writer of the year by Alpha Gamma Multimedia Limited.

In the same 2016, she was named one of the "100 most influential writers under 40" and one of the Ambassadors for "SHE LEADS AFRICA". Also in 2016, she was shortlisted for the Etisalat prize for flash fiction.

She has been on the cover of three notable magazines, granted seven television interviews including Channels TV book club, GoldmyneTV, WazobiaTV and Zimbabwean Makosi TV and countless radio tours.

In April 2017, she announced the release of her second publication, NOT FORGIVEN; A collection of Psychological thriller stories.
