President Buhari confirms readiness to tackle Nigeria's challenges

- President Buhari vows to remain slow but steady in doing his job

- The President recalls that he has been called Baba go-slow but says he would always do his best for Nigerians

- He made the statement on his verified personal Twitter handle

Just hours after suspending the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) David Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ayodele Oke, President Buhari has vowed to continue to tackle the country's challenges.

In a brief tweet with the title: #ThrowbackThursday and a video attached, President Buhari recalled how he was called 'Baba go-slow'.

He vowed to continue to be 'slow and steady' with his job as Nigeria's leader.

Legit.ng recalls that President Buhari, on Wednesday, April 19, suspended Babachir David Lawal and Ayodele Oke and announced it in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina.

Lawal's suspension follows his being accused of complicity in the finances meant for the welfare of the Internally Displaced persons, IDPs in the north east by the Senate which also called on the president to remove him.

Oke was suspended over the money which was found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an Ikoyi apartment in Lagos that his agency NIA claimed to own.
