Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday, April 11 met with repreentatives of various groups in Southern Kaduna.
Osinbajo met with the leaders of the groups few weeks ago when he was hosted in Kaduna state on an official visit as Nigeria's acting president.
The vice president has kept his promise of continually engaging the various groups to ensure that lasting peace is returned to the area.
Osinbajo met with representatives of Jama'a Foundation, Southern Kaduna Muslims, Muslim Youths Foundation of Southern Kaduna and then later Christian Association of Nigeria representatives, Christian Elders Forum and Southern Kaduna Peoples Forum.
According to Osinbajo, both parties acknowledge that the issues of Southern Kaduna have been around for a while.
He further stated that both parties are also committed to finding a lasting solution to the issues that have bedevilled the area for a while.
He promised that the government will continue to meet the parties individually and collectively till all the issues raised are largely resolved.
The Southern Kaduna crisis has been raging for a while before the intervention of the vice president.
