Nigeria, despite the economic recession it's currently battling, is still the Giant of Africa, but is not considered as one of the most powerful nations in the word.
Below are some of the things Nigeria can do join USA, Russia and China on the list of countries with superpower or to even become the strongest of them all.
1. Support from other African Countries
Nigeria may be the giant of Africa but it doesn't mean other African countries are working to promote it as the face of Africa to the world. If Nigeria can get the support of fellow African countries, it might be easy for the country to become the biggest superpower in Nigeria.

Nigeria needs to invest more in the Military (Land, Air, Water). If Nigeria has a formidable military, it sends the message to the rest of the world that it's not a country to be messed with, it also helped with security inside the country. A nation that can't boast of security of lives and properties within the country will look weak to the outside world.

Nigeria has to battle corruption that is currently crippling the nation's economy and reputation to the outside world. With an effective judicial system and strong condemnation from the Government and masses, corruption will be eradicated or reduced to the minimum.
4. Good Governance
Nigeria needs a government that can utilize public funds by investing in technology, infrastructure, diversify the economy and give the international community a secure environment to do business/invest. If the country's resources is maximised, Nigeria will grow beyond expectation.
