She also alleged that her husband sold the three motorcycles she bought for him.

"I bought three motorcycles for my husband to make ends meet; he sold all and squandered the money.

“He is also a drunk; he gets home late at nights and makes trouble thereafter. My parents have intervened but he refused to change.

” Last month, I saw charms sprinkled at the entrance of my room; I knew he sprinkled it just to make me leave the house which I built myself.

“I have parked out of the house for now, please separate us, I cannot live with him any longer,” she pleaded with the court.

The 48-year-old trader, Mr Yahaya Amzat, denied the claims of pouring charms, but accepted he was a drunk.

The father of four children also begged the court not to separate them as no woman can love her more than his wife.
