Shehu Sani, like many other Nigerians, is not happy with the country's current situation

Sani said the country must now look beyond the narrative of telling the world how poor it is. Rather, it must now reveal the names of those who caused the country’s poverty.

“Telling the world that we are poor is the narrative, telling the world the names of those who made us poor is the courage,” Sani said.

Oshiomhole had, while speaking at the first Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia memorial lecture, tagged: ‘Nation Building and Development in Nigeria’ and organised by the University of Abuja on Thursday, April 6, 2017, revealed that the country was plagued by former retired military officers and elites who supervised the restructuring of Nigeria from three regions to 37 states.
