March 8, has been designated as the International Women's Day, a day mapped out for the celebration of women worldwide.
This year's IWD is themed: "Bold for Change" is focused on calling the masses to every individual to help ensure a better working world.
It is also aimed at ensuring a more gender inclusive world for all, according to the IWD website.
In commemoration of the 2017 IWD and celebration of many great Nigerian women, NAIJ.com has harvested some spectacular photos taken by our photojournalist late Yinka Adeparusi.
Yinka died in an accident along Karu Expressway in Abuja on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
He was an award-winning photojournalist who graduated from Lagos State University School of Communication, where he bagged double honours in Photojournalism and Cinematography and minor in mass communication.
Among other awards, Yinka received the People's Choice Award for Human Rights Photography in Africa, German Development Media Awards in 2013 and was the winner of the photojournalism award of the 6th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting in 2011.
