Buhari is laying foundation for future development - Okorocha

- Governor Rochas Okorocha has warned Nigerians against expecting too much from the present administration under President Buhari

- Okorocha said President Buhari is building a strong foundation for the growth of Nigeria

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha has said Nigerians should not outstanding growths like building of skyscrapers from President Muhammadu Buhari's administrations but rather trust in the fact that the Buhari's government is building a foundation for coming governments to build on.

Okorocha made this statement at the Imo state polythecnic Umuagwo, during the 5th convocation ceremony of the institution.

Okorocha added that Buhari’s administration was only laying the foundation for development, Vanguard reports.

“This is not the time to weep or complain in the struggle to nationhood, it is a time to comply. Nigeria must write the history of this recession just like other developed nations in their journey to greatness.

“President Buhari is building a strong foundation for sustainable growth of the nation. Whoever that is waiting for Buhari to build sky scrapers and historic tunnels may be wasting time as his job is to lay a solid foundation so that successive governments will have a good foundation to build upon.

“We must all support him and pray for him as his coming as the President is divine and its purpose must be fulfilled."

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) Prof Itse Sagay (SAN) has said only stupid Nigerians will not appreciate President Buhari's anti-corruption war.

Sagay warned Nigerians against unnecessary criticism of President Buhari's administration.
