Recession has become a household name in the nation with many families unable to bear the cost of living large. While those who are above the average class have cut down on the way they spend, people who own big companies are recording a loss with the business they run.

KFC is a brand Nigerians have grown to love over the year for the delicious foods served in their outlets. The American fast food restaurant chain which specializes in fried chicken had not failed Nigerians ever since it is started operations here.

However, Lagos residents are going to miss this eatery as they have shut down most of their outlets due to the economic situation. There are speculations that the outlets will stop working from today, February 20, as a result of the low patronage recorded and the high cost of power. The outlets within the shopping malls are not affected by this development.

This development means that you will no longer get your favourite meals or ice-cream from these outlets again.

Thousands of Lagosians have found another reason to strike the present administration; the exchange rate has contributed to the present economic situation one way or the other.

Low patronage will no doubt be recorded since Nigerians will rather use their limited resources to put food on the table of their family members.

People around these outlets shared their thoughts on the shutdown spots as they blamed it all on low sales and high cost of power.

The management of the brand is yet to give a statement on the closed outlets. It is a little weird that this food brand chose this particular time of the year to shut down when there are other business owners pushing their brands.
