Breaking: 21 feared dead in fresh attacks on 3 Southern Kaduna communities

Twenty one people have been allegedly killed by unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen in the early hours of Monday morning, February 20, Leadership reports.

Alex Iya, the chairman of Kaura local government area of Kaduna state, confirmed the killing of 14 people in a simultaneous attack on two communities of Mifi and Ashim

Another attack was carried out on Sunday night, February 19, in Bakin Kogi community of Jema’a local government of the state killing 7 persons leaving scores injured.

Dr. Yakubu Bityong, representing Kaura constituency at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, further confirmed that the attackers had killed and destroyed many homes before the arrival of the security operatives.

He gave the name of the casualties to included Chayuwai manti 73, Ezikiel kanwai 23, Bridget aba 61, Bridget samuila 42, Samuila kuzamam 47, Mathew daniel 37, Edward mathew 10, Omega mathew 8, Adam noga 46, Moses Ndong, 68, Likita adam 12, Musa john 13, Mboi waje 14 and Fidelix kakah.

Meanwhile the Southern Kaduna Rebirth (SAKORE), a foremost northern association, has described former minister of Aviation and ardent critic of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, as God’s finger in the herdsmen attack on the southern part of Kaduna state in recently.

The group thanked Fani-Kayode and described him as one of those whose voices have helped in forcing the ‘terrorist’ Fulani herdsmen to cut down massively on the scale of terror they planned to unleash on the people of the area.
