Sparks fly as celebrities throng IMAX Studios for MTN-Arsenal partnership

Top celebrities dressed to the nines from all works of life? Check! Former Nigerian football internationals and ex-premiership players? Check! High-octane football experience? Check!

Indeed, it was a day to remember as heavy weights from all works of life witnessed ICT giants, MTN Nigeria, thronged the IMAX studios, Lagos to formally announced a partnership with English premiership side, Arsenal FC.

The event, which was held simultaneously in five cities across the country coincided with Arsenal's grudge match against Chelsea. Former Super Eagles International and ex Arsenal player, Kanu Nwankwo led the high profile support for Arsenal while Celestine Babayaro, also a former international was present to support his former club, Chelsea

And even though Arsenal were beaten 3-1, it was not enough to dim the pleasant atmosphere.

Speaking on the partnership, Celestine Babayaro said it is a welcome development for Nigerian football fans and that it will help grow local talent through its football clinics

Some of the celebrities present for the event include Victor Ogumefun aka Vector tha Viper, Austin Okocha, Tunde Folawiyo, Chris Ubosi of Beat FM, Oscar Onyeama, CEO, Nigerian Stock Exchange, MTN Director, Gbenga Oyebode, MTN Chairman, Paschal Dozie, Prince Gabby Yadua, MD of Metropolitan Motors, Olutoyin Okeowo among others.

Some football fans at the event also won all-expense paid trips to Emirates under the partnership.
