9 reasons why being an adult is the best thing ever

Children are usually excited at the thought of becoming adults, they believe this is the best time of one's life. They see adulthood as a time to explore their outrageous fantasies.

What these children forget is that adulthood stage of life is full of more responsibilities.

Here are 9 reasons every nigerian child cannot wait to be an adult:

1. Hatred for chores

Most Nigerian children dislike chores. Sweeping, washing clothes or plates to them is usually inconvenient, no matter the time of the day. They believe being an adult will allow them to do chores at their convenience.

2. Sense of freedom

As a child, you have always imagined being an adult equals total freedom. Adulthood allows you to move around freely without being questioned. You can go out anywhere and anytime you want.

3. Quest for more meat

Normally, children should eat more meat while growing but in Nigeria, the adults have the privilege of eating more meat. Eating more meat as an adult is the dream of many children.

4. Staying out late

Staying out late as a child is impossible. When you really want to stay much longer at your friend’s party but you remember you are still a child, you wish you were an adult.

5. Excitement to show your driving skills

If their parents have a car, the average child can't wait to grow up, so they can start driving on their own.

6. Eagerness to taste alcohol

The eagerness to have a taste of alcohol is one of the things most Nigerian children have while growing up. During those moments they really wish they were old enough to take alcohol.

7. Wearing their parents clothing items

Those times children wear their parent's shoes or clothes and they really wished it was their exact size, they could not wait to grow up.

8. Love for makeup

When children, especially female see their aunts and moms looking gorgeous while wearing makeup. They sometimes wish they were adults so they could also start wearing makeup.

9. Attending weddings

When children attend weddings as one of the bridal train, they are usually very excited. Being a little bride or groom automatically makes it kind of their wedding too.
