JUST IN: Former US President H.W. George Bush hospitalized

Former US President George H.W. Bush has been hospitalized for an undisclosed illness according to CNN reports.

According to his chief of staff Jean Becker, Bush was admitted at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center after falling ill.

The 92-year-old former American president was in stable condition and "doing fine," Baker said.

He once suffered from Parkinson's disease which has left him unable to walk.

He has also had two other health scares in 2014 and 2015.

Bush is the father of another ex-US President George W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who sought the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

Mr. Bush is the oldest living former U.S. president.

Meanwhile, it is just about 48 hours left for Trump to take the oath of office as the next president of America.

Only 46 percent of Americans think that Trump can handle international crises while 47 percent say they are confident he can use military force wisely and just 44 percent believe Trump can prevent major scandals in his administration.
