Nigerian Turkish College to pay N1.2billion to secure release of abducted staff, students

- Abductors of Nigerian Turkish International College students and staff in Ogun state have made contacts with their families and presented their demands

- The abductors are demanding a ransom of N1.2billion to be paid to secure the release of the abducted staff and students

- Police authorities have given assurance that the victims would be released unhurt

Authorities of the Nigerian Turkish International College whose students were abducted on Friday, January 13, 2017 are to pay N1.2billion before the staff and students kidnapped will be released.

Daily Trust is reporting that the abductors of the staff and students had made contact with the family members of the victims where the demand was placed before them.

The staff and students who were abducted at about 9.30am on Friday, January 13, have been in the kidnappers den since they were abducted.

The abductors were said to have dug through the fence and entered through the back door.

Police authorities said the kidnappers invaded the school and took the students and teachers away in a Toyota Hilux van.

It was learned that the kidnappers wore mask when they stormed the school and whisked away the students with the staff.

The eight victims include two junior students, one senior student, three Nigerian workers and two Turkish staff.

The Inspector General of police, Ibrahim Idris, through the Ogun state commissioner of police, Illiyasu Ahmed, has assured that the abducted staff and students would be rescued unhurt.
