Amid the confusion trailing the purported resignation of Pastor E A Adeboye as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Legit.ng has obtained a memo showing that the well-traveled pastor simply appointed new officers into various offices.

Reports had filtered in that Pastor Joseph Obayemi is to become the new National Overseer of the body, a position which was hitherto held by Pastor Adeboye.

And amid reactions of shock expressed by the church's members and followers from all over the world over the unexpected decision, it has been gathered that the pastor actually appointed new officers to take over the reins of affairs in Nigeria while he oversees as the overall head.

It was gathered that this new decision was informed by a new policy was in line with legal requirements set up by the Financial Regulations Council, guiding all registered churches, mosques, and CSOs.

A statement by the church read: "The regulation stipulates that heads of non profit organisations like churches now have a maximum period of twenty years to lead their organizations while in retirement, they are not permitted to hand over to their families."

Below is the letter confirming the various offices which new pastors have been appointed to occupy following the new policy.
