Police Recover N30m Jeweleries From Robbers

The Kano State Police Command has recovered jewelleries worth about N30 million, which were stolen from a private residence by an armed robbery gang in Kano.

Addressing newsmen, the state’s Police Commissioner, Ibrahim K. Idris, said 26 pieces of gold chains, 42 pieces of gold earrings, five pieces of gold rings and five pieces of pendants were recovered during the investigation from a suspected accomplice, one Lawan Mohammed aka Bisi.

Mohammed, according to the police, conspired with four others and stormed a residence with dangerous weapons along Hospital Road in Nassarawa area, where they robbed the occupant of valuables worth N30million and shot one person.

The police commissioner said investigation into the case was still going on, and that the suspect would soon be charged to court.
