Just hours before the commencement of the Ondo election on Saturday, November 26, reports from the southwest state claim that a party has reportedly ferried money in to swing the votes of the polls.

According to Lere Olayinka, special assistant to Ekiti state Governor Ayo Fayose on Public communications and new media, a bullion van carrying loads of cash has pulled up outside a building reportedly belonging to a top politician.
He claimed: “A Bullion Van conveying part of the money to be spent by APC is right in the house of one INEC officer in Mount Gerizim Street, off- Wotts Garden at the back of Kinsley Kuku's house, Alagbaka Estate, Akure.
“Fayemi has been in and out of the house since Wednesday.”

Earlier in the day, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) was said to have been killed by unknown gunmen in Owo, Ondo state.
Afolabi Olaposi was shot dead on his way home after attending a meeting of the party in preparation for the governorship election on Thursday night, November 24, according to a statement released the APC.
