Editor’s note: The presidency has on November 21, Monday, has given sure indication that President Muhammadu Buhari would seek a second term in office in 2019.
However,Chukwu Donald O, the NAIJ.com guest contributor, advises Buhari and his aides that they should be planning for the future generations, not future election.
I have said it time without number, I am not a partisan, I belong to nobody but TRUTH. I can never compromise because of my political ideology or belief of my godfathers. The only thing that can convince me is truth and the only thing that can buy me is truth. My recent post these days in the favour of the present administration have nothing to do with me being succumbed to APC rather I made U-turn because I saw the truth.
I think it is too early to talk about 2019 ambition where our country is still on fire, I think what the presidency should be talking now is how to fix the country Nigeria not who is going to rerun in 2019.
A leader who has his people at mind should be talking about how to solve the country problems not how to fulfil his own personal ambition, Buhari should think of our problems at hand, Buhari and his aides should be planning for the future generations, not future election comes 2019.
Nigerians need food, Nigerians can't afford to pay hospital bills and parents are crying out loud on how to pay their children school fees and our president is busy thinking of 2019 election.
Sir with all due respect it is too early to make your ambition known to us because our problems are bigger than your 2019 ambition and since it didn't come out from your mouth and you did not react to it or even punish or caution your aid who said it that means you sent him to said it because they serve as your mouthpiece. As for me, I don't bid with that idea of your rerun in 2019.
I'm a Nigerian and my name is Chukwu Donald O. I'm not politically partisan; I'm just an activist.
