Police Recover Maryam Abacha’s N20 Million Stolen Jewellery

Kano State Police Command has recovered stolen jewelleries worth N20 million belonging to Maryam Sani Abacha, the State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has said.

He told reporters yesterday that one of the suspects who bought some of the jewelleries was arrested and his arrest led to the discovery of the remaining items.

The case of the stolen jewelleries is before a court in Kano and one of her house help is being accused of stealing the jewelleries.

The police commissioner said that the jewelleries were now in custody of the police as investigation into the matter continued.
