Police in Migori, Nyanza Province of Kenya are searching for the heads of two girls who were found murdered last weekend.
The girls aged two and three went missing early last week and were found by passers-by who reported the matter to the Rongo police station.
The passers-by are said to have found the bodies of the two girls on Friday in a sugar plantation.
According to elders and residents, the murder at Kanga village in Rongo has been linked to a ritual.
Migori police boss Alfred Makoma said that they have arrested a man over the murder. Both the bodies were headless when they were found however one of the girl’s head was found in the plantation a day later after an intensive search.
Makoma said more suspects will be arrested and charged with murder.
The bodies have been taken to Rapcom Mortuary in Awendo town awaiting post-mortem.
