Members of staff of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria on Friday offered special prayers for the recovery of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
The prayer session was held at the emir’s Palace when the new management team of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Zaria, paid a courtesy visit to the ailing emir.
In his remarks, anaging Director, Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Malam Idris Mohammed, said the visit was to seek divine intervention over the emir’s health.
“There is always an end to every ailment and this is the end of the ailment. I hope to see the emir back on his feet by the Grace of God,” he said.
Mohammed said the new management team from Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, came to pay homage to the emir before commencing their assignment in the Kaduna zone.
He assured the people of Zaria of adequate power supply.
He said that non-payment of customers’ outstanding debts estimated at more than N16 million, had constituted ‘bottleneck’ in quality of power supply to the area.
He appealed to the Emirate Council to persuade consumers pay their bills.
In his response, the Emir of Zazzau, represented by Waziri Zazzau, Alhaji Ibrahim Aminu, said the Emirate was grateful for the visit.
