My Wife Is A Prostitute – Husband Tells Court

A 37-year-old Cabinet Maker, Samson Animashaun, on Wednesday, July 30, urged an Igando Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his 14-year-old marriage with his wife, Anirat, on the grounds of prostitution and infidelity.

Samson told the court saying: “My wife is a prostitute and a slut; she has desecrated her matrimonial home."

“My wife is dating many men, who come to pick and drop her in front of our house.

“She receives calls from them even at night in my presence. I once caught her red-handed with a man in our room,’’ he added.

He said since the woman had parked out of her matrimonial home to live with another man the union had already been severed.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Anirat, who is a trader, did not object to the dissolution as she urged the court to dissolve the marriage saying: “My husband does not take care of the family. He abandoned the children even when they were ill.

“I single-handedly paid the children’s hospital bills. “He also denied me access to my children and threatened to kill me if I go near them."

In his ruling, the President of the court, Mr R.I. Adeyeri, adjourned the case to Aug. 13 for judgment.
