Gulak Joins Adamawa Governorship Race

Aliyu Gulak, the former Political Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, has declared his interest for Adamawa State number one seat.

 

According to Tribune, the former presidential adviser made his intention known on Tuesday while addressing his campaign coordinators and some PDP delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state.

Gulak, however, pointed out that the presidency and the PDP national leadership had no desire to impose candidate on the electorate.

“The era of imposition is over in the PDP as President Jonathan wants to see the emergence of a popular candidate for the party,” he said.

 

Gulak, who further praised himself by saying he has all it takes to become the PDP candidate in the governorship race, added he possess a tangible records following the previous positions he once held.

 

Responding, Engr Lynn Nathan, who is the Director-General of Gulak Campaign Organisation and a former governor of the state, revealed that Gulak was more competent when compared to other aspirants.

Other delegates and coordinators present at the occasion promised to work for the victory of Gulak.

 

It would be recalled that on July 29, 2014, President Goodluck Jonathan terminated the appointment of Ahmed A. Gulak as his Special Adviser on Political Matters.
