Abubakar, who gave the warning on Thursday night at his palace during a dinner organised for heads of security agencies in the state, also condemned the bomb blasts in Kaduna and Kano states. He tasked security agencies in the country to be proactive and keep away from politics.

Lamenting the way and manner some politicians were treating issues of insecurity by narrowing it to ethnicity and religion, the traditional ruler pointed out that it would be difficult to find lasting solutions to the security challenges.

"We have been telling our politicians to stop trivialising and politicising security issues by narrowing it to ethnicity and religion. As long as politicians keep on narrowing issues of insecurity to Islam, Christianity, Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba or Ijaw, then it will be difficult to solve the problem”, Abubakar said.

It would be recalled that explosions rocked two big northern cities of Kaduna and Kano on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, with that of Kaduna having a greater impact following a death toll of at least 82 people, while figures were still expected to increase.
