Kaduna Blasts: Victims Narrate Horrible Ordeal
Victims of the bomb blasts, which rocked Kaduna on Wednesday, July 23, have recounted their horrible ordeal.
37 victims of the attack are said to be at the 44 Army Reference Hospital, while one is at the Yusuf Dan Tsoho Hospital.
Speaking to Daily Trust, one of the victims, Suleiman, who sustained a fracture and burns on his legs, said he was yet to come to terms with the situation. He said he happened to be at the right place at the wrong time, as he had gone to repair his customer’s generator when the incident occurred.

Hajiya Hadiza Usman, mother to another victim at the 44 Army Reference Hospital thanked Allah for sparing the lives of her children. She said her seven-year-old son, Abubakar Usman, was in the company of three of his siblings when the blast occurred at Kawo park.

"My children left the house at Hayin Banki to Kawo market to buy clothes for the Sallah celebration when the blast occurred," she said.
According to a source at the Yusuf DanTsoho Hospital, five victims of the blast at Alkali road were brought to the hospital on Wednesday. Among the five, four came in with minor injuries, but the fifth one, an 18-year-old boy named Ahmadu Bala, had his right eye blown off.
Meanwhile, the twin attacks, which occurred on July 23, Wednesday, were reportedly targeted a key opposition figure, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.
Reactions have been pouring in from everywhere, condemning the attacks. Shortly after the attack, President Jonathan condoled with the families of the victims of the blast, while also thanking God for sparing Buhari’s life.
Some other top politicians, who have condemned the blasts include, Former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, ex FCT Minister, Nasir El-Rufai, and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also reacting to the blast, former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida said the bloodletting has to stop.
